Jonathan Nolan is an artist who aims to capture beauty, emotion, and power in his art. Striving to master brush, paint, and the interactions of colour, to effectively convey meaning and emotion. Nolan’s passion is for the impression, the distilled, the articulation of the essence of meaning with the pure form of the minimalist line. Predominantly working with oil paints, however also working with acrylic and photography.

Nolan’s early work explores a number of mediums and painting methods, including the bold vibrant colours of pointillism, and the thick brush strokes of impressionism.
